Star Leaderboard Data API
One request returns three GitHub star leaderboards — the top 100 per artifact class: dsh plugins / eco plugins / eco apps. For the momentum view (weekly gainers) see the Star Trend Board API.
| URL | Description | Updates |
|---|---|---|
/data/stars.json | The three star leaderboards: boards.plugin / boards.ecoPlugin / boards.ecoApp, top 100 by stars each. | Rebuilt on deploy |
/data/stars.schema.json | JSON Schema for this feed. | Stable |
All JSON feeds are cross-origin readable: Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * — no API key or sign-up.
| Field | Type | Semantics |
|---|---|---|
generatedAt | string (ISO) | Build timestamp — preserve it alongside any cached copy |
scope | object | Scope: listableOnly (registry listing cut only); upstreamCoreExcluded (the upstream harness itself is absent); ecoPluginInstallVerifiedOnly (the ecoPlugin board admits install-verified entries only); classes enumerates the three classes |
limit | number | 100 — each board provides its top 100 only |
boards | object | The three boards: plugin (dsh plugins — declare a dsh.bundle, install via dsh plugin add), ecoPlugin (eco plugins — verified installable in the L4 sandbox but declaring no dsh.bundle, mounting nothing), ecoApp (eco apps — desktop / web shells distributed as releases, plus indexed entries whose installability was never verified) |
boards.<class>.count | number | Entries on this board (≤ limit) |
boards.<class>.items[] | array | Ranked entries, sorted by stars descending (fields below) |
items[].rank | number | 1-based position within the board (1–100) |
items[].id | string | Plugin id (matches plugins.json ids and detail-page slugs) |
items[].name | string | Display name |
items[].stars | number | GitHub star count (captured at registry refresh) |
items[].url | string | Absolute detail-page URL |
license | object | Provenance and attribution terms — aggregated from the dsh.so registry |
The three-class split mirrors the plugin registry sidebar (2026-09-21 taxonomy): an eco plugin is install-verified (L4 sandbox passed) but mounts nothing; an eco app is a desktop / web shell — or an indexed entry whose installability was never verified (L4 run produced no verdict). The upstream harness itself (deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness) is behind the same gate as the homepage boards and appears nowhere. Repo-health-marked or sub-L3 entries are absent from every board — absence is the scope, never padded with zeros.
Fetch the three star leaderboards (or open /data/stars.json in a browser):
The weekly-momentum sibling is /data/star-trend.json; on the npm side see /data/npm-popular.json (all-time downloads). For per-plugin facts (verification, security, install) join id against /plugins-index.json or /plugin/@author/plugin.json.
Boards are rebuilt on deploy; star counts come from the dsh.so pipelines' GitHub API registry collection. Fields are append-only: existing fields are never removed or renamed. Free to reuse with attribution to dsh.so; new fields are announced in the changelog.
