DSH FAQ
Deleting sessions, updating dsh, remote access, computer use, the official project entry — the questions search engines actually send here. Answers aim at one executable step instead of generalities. Missing something? Tell us.
Where is the official dsh website / project?
dsh.so is an independent community registry — it is not a DeepSeek official site and does not distribute plugins on the official project's behalf. The DeepSeek Harness project lives at github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness, with its documentation under docs/ in that repository.
How do I update dsh to a newer version?
dsh versions are managed by dshvm: dshvm list shows registered versions (the active one is marked *), dshvm install <version or tag> installs a new one, and dshvm use <version> switches the global dsh command to it. Check the active version with dsh --version; upstream version changes are tracked in the changelog.
How do I delete a session or clean up old sessions?
Session data lives under DSH_HOME (default %USERPROFILE%\.dsh): sessions/ holds one directory per workspace, and storages/session_projcache/sessions/ holds each session as a JSON file. Deleting that file clears the session; resume an existing one with dsh tui --resume <session>. Community session-management plugins are also listed — search the marketplace for session.
Which plugin should I use for remote / SSH access?
The marketplace lists a family of community remote plugins (for example dsh-remote, dsh-remote-web-gateway, dsh-full-remote, ds-harness-remote). They work differently, so check each detail page for its verification level (L4 = installs in a sandbox, L5 = loads and runs) and security scan result before copying the install command.
Which plugin provides computer use / browser automation?
Search the marketplace for computer use or browser to see the relevant plugins (for example dsh-computer-use). Judge them by verification level and security scan result on the detail page, not by stars alone.
How do I install a plugin, and how do I know it works?
Every detail page shows an install command of the form dsh plugin --profile web add <package or id>; copy it and run it in your terminal. The command is generated from the plugin manifest and is recorded as a verification level: L4 means it really installed inside an isolated sandbox, L5 means dsh loaded it and the smoke test passed.
What is the relationship between dsh.so and the official project?
dsh.so is an independent community project. Its maintainers do not act on behalf of DeepSeek AI and do not warrant third-party code. What it runs is a trust pipeline — GitHub API checks, automated security scans (a static rule scan plus a model-driven dynamic security audit that can only raise a verdict, never clear one), and sandbox install testing (L1–L5) — so you can judge before you install.
