A new skin is the cheapest way to freshen up a workspace. These are the ones that change the look the moment you install them: a Wallpaper Engine scene across the whole window, a looping video behind the chat, or a straight remake of QQ 2006. Themes only touch appearance, never behaviour — switch from Settings and revert whenever you like. If you plan to run two skins at once, check how each one switches first: they can fight over the same styles.
The top three by search demand — if you are unsure, look here first.
The same shortlist in order, each with a one-line reason it made the cut.
