- lowContainment is lexical only; symlinks inside the workspace are followed to targets outside it
src/containment.ts:6listDirectory and worktreeFileShow (src/filesystem.ts readdir/lstat; src/snapshot.ts readLiveFile stat/open) follow symlinks. Since the workspace is agent-writable, a planted symlink (e.g. to ~/.ssh/id_rsa) would be listed and its target bytes returned to the client when browsed. For the local operator this grants no new read right, but it widens the boundary if the workspace or the GUI transport is not fully trusted.

src/git.tsThe git helpers interpolate `rev` (gitFileShow, gitSnapshotListing, gitDescription, gitCommitChanges) and, in gitUntrackedDiff, join(workspaceRoot, relPath) without a resolveInWorkspace or REV_RE check. Since execFile passes argv directly to git, a value beginning with `--` (e.g. `--output=<path>`) would be parsed as a git option, enabling option injection/file write. Reachability cannot be confirmed because src/index.ts (which likely applies REV_RE, as the diff `base` does) was not in the harvest.
Heuristic warn refuted: the host half is read-only, calls git/jj via execFile with no shell, and enforces workspace containment; only low-severity hardening gaps remain.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
