lib/edge-proxy.mjs:491Anyone who passes the single password gate is handed a valid DSH browser-session cookie, i.e. the ability to execute arbitrary commands as the DSH user on the host. There is no second factor, no source-IP allow-list, and the tunnel session lasts 30 days. This is the plugin's stated purpose but is the dominant residual risk.

lib/edge-proxy.mjs:206The proxy's own header documents it may sit behind 'a public tunnel (cloudflared / ngrok / anything)'. Behind a front end that does not set CF-Connecting-IP, the first X-Forwarded-For entry is attacker-controlled, so the per-source failure lockout can be bypassed by rotating that value and the account password can be brute-forced without the intended doubling delay.
Password-gated public tunnel exposes a command-execution-capable DSH; authentication is real and no backdoor found, but the exposure and minor CSRF/rate-limit gaps remain.
Rule (2026-10-28): when a dynamic conclusion exists it is authoritative (it may raise or lower the level); the static scan tier (vet primary, dsh backstop) applies only when there is none (not queued / audit failed / withdrawn). The audit never writes the exemption list (exemptions are manual only); a wrong conclusion is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static scan tier.
