handleConfigApi's only gate is `req.method !== 'POST'`; there is no session/auth check, no Origin/Referer check, and readBody parses JSON regardless of Content-Type, so a plain cross-origin request (Content-Type: text/plain, mode:'no-cors') from any page the user visits while DSH is running can set host/user/port/identityFile/strictHostKeyChecking and persist to ~/.dsh/ssh-remote.config.json. All subsequent ssh_* tool calls then connect to an attacker-controlled host, which can feed crafted stdout back into the agent (prompt injection) and receive files sent by ssh_upload. local_path comes straight from the model/tool arguments and the bytes come from the remote host. A compromised or malicious remote (or a model prompt-injected by remote file content) can write arbitrary content to any path the DSH process can write, e.g. ~/.ssh/authorized_keys, ~/.bashrc/~/.profile, or a plugin/bundle file, converting remote compromise into code execution on the DSH host. Nothing restricts the destination to a download directory.
lowssh_upload reads any local file by path and transmits it to the configured remote hostlib/index.js:721
No allowlist or containment: the model can read any file the DSH process can read (e.g. ~/.ssh/id_* keys, ~/.dsh config, .env) and ship it to whatever host is currently configured. Combined with the reconfigurable target (finding above) this becomes a concrete local-secret exfiltration channel; on its own the data only reaches the user's own remote machine. The whole file is also read into memory before the 20 MB size check.

Remote-exec powers are by design, but the unauthenticated /ssh-remote endpoint can re-point SSH targets and ssh_download/ssh_upload allow arbitrary local file read/write.

Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
