isLoopbackRequest() is the only guard on POST /plugins/desktop-shortcut/api/install (lib/index.js:48). It checks the Host header but never Origin/Referer, and there is no CSRF token. A malicious page can send fetch(url,{method:'POST',mode:'no-cors',headers:{'content-type':'text/plain'},body:JSON.stringify({name,command,url,workDir})}); text/plain is CORS-safelisted so no preflight is issued, the browser sets Host: 127.0.0.1:3080 which passes the fence, and wire.js JSON.parses the body regardless of content-type. Caller-controlled name/command/url/workDir are appended as script parameters to assets/New-DesktopShortcut.ps1 with execution policy bypassed. That script is referenced but absent from the harvested set, so the way it interpolates the -Command value and the -WorkDir path into the generated .cmd launcher (and whether it quotes/escapes them) cannot be verified. If it writes the launcher into the caller-supplied -WorkDir without sanitising, the CSRF above becomes an arbitrary-path file write, and an unescaped command becomes command execution when the launcher runs.

readJsonBody() concatenates the entire request body into a string with no Content-Length cap. Combined with the CSRF vector above, a visited page can stream a very large body into the DSH host process and exhaust memory; even without CSRF, any local process can do it.

Loopback fence checks only the Host header, so any web page can POST to the installer endpoint; the bundled PowerShell engine was not included in the audit set.

Rule (2026-10-24): when a dynamic conclusion exists it is authoritative (it may raise or lower the level); without one, the static/vet fused tier applies. The audit never writes the exemption list (exemptions are manual only); a wrong conclusion is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to static/vet.
