Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected

L1–L3 are plugin-level static conclusions (baseline, identical across dsh versions): evidence is stored once per plugin.

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic medium — stricter wins → overall medium.

- mediumRestart/status routes authorize only with a forgeable header and accept Origin-less requests
lib/index.js:78The custom-header requirement only defeats browsers (a cross-site fetch triggers a preflight the plugin never answers). Any non-browser client — a local process, a script, or a remote host that can reach the listener when DSH binds 0.0.0.0/:: (a binding configuration the code's own comments anticipate) — can send 'x-dsh-restart-dock: 1' with no Origin and POST /dsh-restart-dock/restart, killing and relaunching the host without user interaction: denial of service and loss of in-flight work. The status route additionally discloses host pid, platform and the absolute state directory to the same c
- lowState directory is passed through cmd.exe /c to PowerShell, creating a command-line quoting surface
lib/index.js:159info.stateDir derives from process.env.DSH_HOME or the user's home directory. cmd.exe re-parses the composed command line, and Node's Windows argument quoting does not fully protect cmd metacharacters (&, ^, "), so a home/DSH_HOME path containing such characters could break argument boundaries. Exploitation requires control over the local environment or profile path, and no attacker-supplied string reaches the command, so practical impact is limited to a hardening gap.
- lowPowerShell helper relaunch.ps1 is executed with -ExecutionPolicy Bypass but is absent from the reviewed source
lib/index.js:152The code that actually stops and relaunches the host runs as a detached process with execution policy disabled, outside the audited process boundary. Its content is not present in the harvested files, so it could not be verified — including whether it probes the target process as the header comment claims, or terminates anything whose pid it is given. If the file is genuinely missing from the package, the restart feature is simply inert.
Restart route trusts a forgeable custom header and accepts Origin-less requests, so any local or reachable non-browser client can restart the host (DoS); no code execution or secret leak found.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
