Install verification: Ecosystem plugin: installs via dsh plugin add but declares no dsh.bundle and mounts no plugin capability — the L1-L5 install ladder does not rate it; the security scan still runs.Install verification details →
What it doesAI
Connects a server over SSH from DSH, lets you pick a remote folder, and works in it with every tool.
- SSH into a remote server from DSH
- Pick a remote folder as your workspace
- Use every DSH tool inside that remote folder
Capability tags are AI-inferred or rule-extracted from the README (see badge) — vocabulary-limited, not install-verified. AI = inferred; README = literal keyword from the readme.

Verification & Compatibility○ Ecosystem plugin
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.

- mediumUnvalidated profile fields (host/user/extraOptions) are spliced into the local ssh argv, so -o ProxyCommand yields local command execution
packages/dsh-remote-ssh/lib/ssh.js:276registry.add() stores input.host, input.user and input.extraOptions verbatim (only host != '' and the port range are checked) and baseArgs()/commandArgv() place them in the spawned ssh argv. extraOptions is spread as raw argv elements, and `destination` is `host` or `${user}@${host}` with no `--` terminator, so a value beginning with '-' is parsed by OpenSSH as an option. A caller of the browser-facing Remote method sshWorkspace/connect (or anyone able to write the 0600 profile document) can therefore pass `extraOptions: ["-o","ProxyCommand=<cmd>"]` or `host: "-oProxyCommand=<cmd>"` and get co
- lowShell path taken from remote probe output is interpolated unquoted into `exec <shell> -c`
packages/dsh-remote-ssh/lib/ssh.js:118facts.shell is read verbatim from the remote probe transcript and later used as `exec ${shell} -c ${shellQuote(source)}` in wrap() without quoting, while sessions.js does quote the same value. A host that lies in its probe output (a machine that is already hostile, or a first-connection MITM under the default StrictHostKeyChecking=accept-new) can shape the leading part of every later remote command. Impact is limited because the resulting string is still evaluated on that same remote host, which already controls command execution, so no local boundary is crossed - it is an inconsistency worth
- lowLong control-dir paths fall back to a shared /tmp mux directory whose ownership/mode are never verified
packages/dsh-remote-ssh/lib/ssh.js:50When the requested ControlPath directory exceeds the AF_UNIX byte budget, sharedControlDirectory() returns a predictable /tmp path. baseArgs() then calls mkdirSync(dir, { recursive: true, mode: 0o700 }), which succeeds silently on a pre-existing directory without checking its owner or fixing its mode. On a multi-user host a local attacker could pre-create that path, squat the multiplexing socket, and intercept or ride the operator's authenticated master connection. Requires both the long-path fallback and a malicious local user, so the practical risk is small.
No backdoor or exfiltration; real gaps are unvalidated profile fields spliced into the ssh argv (ProxyCommand), an unquoted probe-derived shell, and a shared /tmp mux dir.
Rule (2026-10-28): when a dynamic conclusion exists it is authoritative (it may raise or lower the level); the static scan tier (vet primary, dsh backstop) applies only when there is none (not queued / audit failed / withdrawn). The audit never writes the exemption list (exemptions are manual only); a wrong conclusion is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static scan tier.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
