index.js:671Every tunneled request reaches the harness from the proxy's own loopback socket with Host and Origin rewritten to 127.0.0.1:3080, so isLoopbackRequest() returns true for unauthenticated internet traffic. Anyone who knows the ephemeral tunnel hostname (no launch token needed) can POST /api/dsh-remote-handoff-settings/status and read accessUrl, which embeds the harness launch token — i.e. full harness access (sessions, workspace, agent) — and can POST /update to run `pnpm add` in the owning profile, or /regenerate to cycle the tunnel.
- mediumOrigin/Host rewrite makes tunneled traffic indistinguishable from local, defeating the harness /api trust fence
index.js:672The harness browser-trust fence (api-request-trust.ts) compares Origin to Host; because the proxy unconditionally forces Origin to the rewritten Host for every request and WebSocket upgrade, that defense-in-depth control no longer rejects anything arriving over the public tunnel. Any page that knows the tunnel hostname can then issue credentialed requests the fence was meant to block, and the harness can no longer distinguish remote from desktop traffic.
Edge proxy rewrites Host/Origin so the loopback-only settings bridge is reachable through the public tunnel: unauthenticated /status leaks the harness launch token, /update runs pnpm installs.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
