The smoke test reads ./lib/client.js and executes it via new Function, which is the construct that produced the static scan's critical hit. It is not reachable by the harness: smoke.mjs is a developer script, is excluded by package.json "files": ["cordis.patch.yml", "lib"], and is never loaded by the loader row or the module registry. The evaluated file is the repository's own build output, so no untrusted input enters the path; impact is limited to a developer running the script against a tampered checkout.
