What it doesAI
DSH plugin that drives a controlled Chrome instance over CDP, with popup-rule collection, text visualization, and hot-swap without downtime.
- Bundles its own controlled Chrome instance and speaks CDP directly, no browser extension
- Zero runtime dependencies: Node built-ins fetch/WebSocket only, Node >= 22 required
- Collects its own popup rules via ask-user-question questionnaire, persisted after first run
Capability tags are AI-inferred or rule-extracted from the README (see badge) — vocabulary-limited, not install-verified. AI = inferred; README = literal keyword from the readme.

Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.

`[](https://www.dsh.so/artifact/dsh-plugin-cdp/)``[](https://www.dsh.so/artifact/dsh-plugin-cdp/)`Security Report
Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic high — stricter wins → overall high.

- highcdp_runner_reload + worker spawn lets the model persist execution of any executable
lib/worker.mjs:123runner.command/runner.args come from the snapshot written by cdp_runner_reload (tool arguments runnerCommand/runnerArgs), and this worker spawns it detached on every intervalMs with the inherited environment plus a caller-supplied runner.env (line 125). There is no allow-list, no confirmation and no path restriction. Because cdp_read feeds untrusted page text into the model context, a hostile page or injected content can steer the model to call cdp_runner_reload with e.g. cmd.exe/powershell.exe, yielding persistent arbitrary code execution as the DSH user.
- mediumcdp_navigate enforces no URL scheme, so file:// navigation exposes local files to cdp_read
lib/index.mjsThe parameter description says 'Absolute http(s) URL', but nothing validates it. Navigating the driven tab to file:///C:/... and then calling cdp_read (or cdp_eval) returns the rendered contents of arbitrary local text files into the model context and onward to the model provider.
- lowcdp_screenshot writes a PNG to any caller-supplied path
lib/index.mjsThe destination is resolved from the tool argument with no confinement to a screenshot directory, so the model can overwrite existing files anywhere the DSH process can write (with PNG bytes). This is destructive rather than a data-leak channel.
Most CDP tools are by-design, but cdp_runner_reload lets the model persist an arbitrary executable via a detached worker, and cdp_navigate accepts file:// URLs.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
