What it doesAI
Transparent, always-on-top GTK3 desktop pet for DSH on Linux X11/XWayland that animates to show each session's state.
- Floating transparent GTK3 window with no background or border, stays always on top
- Pet animation reflects DSH session state: idle, working, waiting, failed, finished
- Window keeps its input region, so clicks on the pet reach the pet

Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected

L1–L3 are plugin-level static conclusions (baseline, identical across dsh versions): evidence is stored once per plugin.
Only the latest 3 published versions are shown; source-snapshot (commit hash) groups, unstated groups and older versions are omitted — the full archive stays in the data layer (snapshot/unstated groups appear only when a plugin has no published version).

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic medium — stricter wins → overall medium.

- mediumPrivate-LAN-reachable API lets any host start/stop the pet and rewrite its config
lib/index.js:43allowed() explicitly accepts 10/8, 127/8, 192.168/16, 172.16/12, fc00::/7 and fe80::/10 peers, and trustedWrite() only requires the caller to send the publicly visible header x-dsh-pet-desktop: 1 plus an application/json content-type — values any non-browser client can set. Because the code itself notes DSH's webServer often binds 0.0.0.0, any host on the same LAN can POST /api/start, /api/stop and /api/config to spawn or kill a GUI process on the user's desktop and change selected pet/size/hidden/autostart, and GET /api/state, /api/config and /api/deps to read local paths, the pet inventory a
- lowUnauthenticated /api/deps?refresh=1 forces repeated python subprocess spawns
lib/index.jsAny peer that passes allowed() can bypass the 30 s probe cache and make the host run up to four python3 processes per request (python --version via execFileSync plus up to three import probes with an 8 s timeout), with no rate limiting — a cheap resource-exhaustion lever against the DSH host process.
Pet desktop controller is well-contained (fixed argv, no shell, sanitized config); the only real gap is a private-LAN-reachable control API guarded by a public constant header.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
