What it doesAI
Drives a local Moli headless browser from DSH to fetch JS-rendered pages as Markdown, semantic trees, screenshots or PDFs.
- moli_fetch renders JS pages into Markdown, semantic trees, screenshots, PDFs
- moli_probe inspects rendered page structure and state
- Sandbox-aware failure classification for clearer error diagnosis
Capability tags are AI-inferred or rule-extracted from the README (see badge) — vocabulary-limited, not install-verified. AI = inferred; README = literal keyword from the readme.

Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected
○ The author declares no dsh version requirement — install is not blocked by version.

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic medium — stricter wins → overall medium.

show 4 audit findings
- mediummoli_probe install downloads and executes the official installer without any checksum by default
lib/install.js:717installMoli() fetches https://github.com/lexmount/moli/releases/latest/download/moli-installer.{sh,ps1} and immediately runs it (`sh <file>` on POSIX, powershell -Command on Windows). Verification only happens when the caller passes `expectedSha256` (lib/install.js:670); there is no default digest and no pinning to a release, so whatever `releases/latest` serves at that moment executes with the DSH host's privileges. The tool is model-invocable, so a prompt-injected page could steer the model into calling `moli_probe action=install`.
- mediumTLS host verification is disabled by default for every moli_fetch call
index.js:35DEFAULTS.insecureTls is true and runFetch injects it whenever the call is silent (lib/moli.js:490-492), which makes buildArgs append `--insecure-disable-tls-host-verification` (lib/moli.js:468). Every fetch, including ones carrying `headers`, `cookieFile` cookies and `profileDir` credentials, therefore accepts any certificate. A network MITM can read the request and rewrite the page content the model then trusts.
- mediumwriteTo lets the model write fetch output to any absolute path, overwriting existing files
lib/moli.js:596`writeTo` is an unconstrained model-supplied path; ensureWritable() only checks that the parent directory exists and that an existing target is a regular file, then writeFileSync overwrites it with attacker-influenced page content (also the text path, and the HTTP-error branch). A prompt-injected page can therefore persist arbitrary fetched bytes over files the host process can write (e.g. shell rc files or a script the user later runs).
- lowProxy URL is interpolated unescaped into a Windows PowerShell command, unlike the sibling helper
lib/install.js:548downloadInstaller builds a `powershell.exe -Command "... -Proxy '<proxy>' ..."` string. `proxy` is config-derived and only validated by `new URL()`; a value such as `http://127.0.0.1:7890/x');<cmd>;('` keeps a valid host/port (so proxyListens succeeds) while the single quote closes the PowerShell string and appends commands. powershellProxyPrelude() in the same module escapes quotes (`value.replace(/'/gu, "''")`), so this path is an inconsistency rather than a deliberate design; it needs Windows plus a tampered proxy config value.
TLS verification is off by default, writeTo can write any host path, and moli_probe runs a downloaded installer without a checksum; spawns are argv-safe apart from one Windows proxy interpolation.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
