Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected
○ The author declares no dsh version requirement — install is not blocked by version.

Only the latest 3 published versions are shown; source-snapshot (commit hash) groups, unstated groups and older versions are omitted — the full archive stays in the data layer (snapshot/unstated groups appear only when a plugin has no published version).

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic medium — stricter wins → overall medium.

show 5 audit findings
- mediumBundle starts the MCP server through unpinned `npx -y`, so the executed code is not guaranteed to match the audited source
cordis.patch.yml:26If the package cannot be resolved in a local node_modules/.bin, npx auto-installs (no prompt, `-y`) the latest published dsh-gitea-search from the registry and executes it at DSH startup. The code that runs can therefore differ from the version that was reviewed here, a compromised npm account or a newer publish becomes executable without review, and startup now depends on network access.
- lowModel-supplied regular expressions are evaluated in-process without a timeout in path/message modes
lib/search.mjs:30In mode=path and mode=message the query is compiled and synchronously applied to every ls-tree path / commit subject (search_gitea with regex=true). A catastrophic-backtracking pattern blocks the single MCP event loop, so every concurrent tool call stalls until the DSH client times out. Content mode is safe because the regex is handed to `git grep` and killed by the existing timeout.
- low`git show` output is fully buffered before the maxReadBytes truncation, enabling memory exhaustion
lib/mirror.mjs:140run() collects every stdout chunk into an array and concatenates before `Buffer.byteLength(body) > config.maxReadBytes` is checked, so read_gitea_file on a very large file in a mirrored repository (a contributor can push a multi-GB blob) allocates the whole blob in the MCP server and can crash it.
- lowBundle patch uses Loader `!!js` expressions that run in the DSH host process
cordis.patch.yml:32The `!!js` tag makes the DSH loader evaluate plugin-shipped JavaScript inside the host process at profile load time. The current expressions only read environment variables, so no abuse was found, but any future edit to this file can execute arbitrary code with DSH privileges without touching the audited .mjs sources.
- lowSync joins API-provided owner/name into filesystem paths without validation
lib/sync.mjs:93Repository metadata from the Gitea/Forgejo HTTP API is used verbatim as a clone destination (and `repo.full_name` in remoteUrl). A hijacked or deliberately hostile server, or an unexpected API payload, could direct `git clone --mirror` outside the mirror directory. Normal Gitea instances validate names, so this is a hardening gap rather than a demonstrated attack.
The code itself is hardened (argv spawns, ref/path validation, askpass tokens); residual risk is the unpinned npx launch plus regex/memory DoS edges.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
