Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected
○ The author declares no dsh version requirement — install is not blocked by version.

`[](https://www.dsh.so/artifact/dsh-git-server/)`Security Report
Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic high — stricter wins → overall high.

show 4 audit findings
- highGET /dsh-git-server/api/status returns the Gogs root password in plaintext before the dsh-session check
src/index.js:306The status payload embeds the plaintext root password of the embedded git server (also the UM-mapped administrator), and that branch is taken before the plugin's own session check, so any caller that only passes the host Host/Origin fence (ctx.connection.requestRejection, a CSRF/DNS-rebinding guard, not a user authentication step) receives the credential. With it an attacker who can reach the host web port or the 0.0.0.0:3400 git server gets full administrative control of every repository (root login / admin token minting).
- mediumAny dsh session (no admin check) can overwrite adminPassword/impersonateSecret via PUT /settings
src/index.js:663The PUT branch is gated only by 'actor' (any resolvable dsh/UM session, not an administrator). A non-admin session can therefore reset the git server's root password (locking out the operator, or taking over the repository server) and rotate the impersonation secret used by dsh-host.js to mint sessions, and the new password is persisted to <dataDir>/custom/admin-password.txt.
- lowShell pipeline built by string interpolation in killOrphanChildren
src/runner.js:211Command execution through /bin/bash with an interpolated single-quoted path. The interpolated value derives from __dirname (package install path), not from request/config data, so it is not attacker-controlled in a normal install; it only becomes injectable if the plugin is installed under a path containing a single quote. Triggered automatically on reconcile/start.
- lowRunner auto-runs npm install from a computed parent directory with lifecycle scripts enabled
src/runner.js:180On startup, if vendored deps are missing, the plugin silently hits the npm registry and runs install scripts (comment states npm install scripts are intentionally allowed for better-sqlite3). The cwd resolves to the plugin's grandparent (typically the profile's node_modules scope, not the plugin package), so the install is not scoped to the plugin and can modify/refresh packages outside it, widening the supply-chain/execution surface without operator action.
GET /status returns the plaintext Gogs admin password before any dsh-session check and PUT /settings lets any dsh session rotate it; shell/npm helpers add lower risk.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
