What it doesAI

Bridges the DeepSeek web app and local DSH with one shared local memory pool via a browser extension, a local writer service, and a DSH adapter.

  • One local memory pool shared across DeepSeek web and local DSH
  • Browser extension harvests and injects memory in the web app
  • Zero-dependency local service is the sole writer; DSH adapter injects before each step

Verification & Compatibility○ Ecosystem plugin

Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.

L1–L3 are plugin-level static conclusions (baseline, identical across dsh versions): evidence is stored once per plugin.

Only the latest 3 published versions are shown; source-snapshot (commit hash) groups, unstated groups and older versions are omitted — the full archive stays in the data layer (snapshot/unstated groups appear only when a plugin has no published version).

Security Report

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.

  • mediumLocal service token is sent to a user-configurable serviceUrl with no localhost restrictionadapter/src/modules/memoryWrite.js:50

resolveServiceToken() silently reads the shared secret from service/config.json (or the npm service package) and attaches it as X-Ecolink-Token to POST ${base}/memory/sync. config.js only type-checks serviceUrl as a string; unlike serviceGuard, memoryWrite has no isLocalServiceUrl() guard. If serviceUrl is set to a remote host (by config edit, bundled patch or a config file shipped with another bundle), the local secret plus all pushed memories leave the machine on the next /ecolink-push.

  • mediumSilent detached auto-spawn of the local service from a runtime-resolved pathadapter/src/modules/serviceGuard.js:78

createServiceGuardModule runs ensureService('apply') on plugin load and again on the agent/pre-step waterfall (60s throttle) whenever ${serviceUrl}/memory/status is unreachable, starting a detached, hidden child process with the user's privileges and no confirmation. The executed file is resolved at runtime from @zoria-lind/dsh-ecolink-service in node_modules or from relative service/server.mjs paths, so anything able to drop/replace that file (dev mount, writable node_modules) is executed automatically on the next session.

  • lowWhole settings object (config includes a bridge token) is broadcast into the page MAIN worldextension/content.js:26

pushFresh() forwards whatever background returns for get-settings verbatim to the untrusted chat.deepseek.com page world; extension/core/config.mjs defines a `token` field in DEFAULT_CONFIG, so unless background.js whitelists keys when answering get-settings (not in the harvested source), the bridge token is readable by any page script. The full memory pool is disclosed the same way, which is inherent to the injection feature but means the settings payload should be minimal.

  • lowHarvested memory text is re-injected verbatim into later prompts (persistent injection channel)extension/core/prompt.mjs:97

Memory entries originate from model output harvested by extension/core/harvest.mjs and only pass a bracket/substring blacklist; plain-text instructions ("ignore previous instructions…") pass validation and are later placed inside the injected block prepended to the user's prompt on chat.deepseek.com. Any source that can make the model emit a DSM:memory_write tag can therefore persist instructions into future conversations.

  • lowCommitted one-off script contains hardcoded personal data and an unconfirmed bulk deleteservice/fix-pool.mjs:24

The maintenance script embeds the author's real name, exam dates and meals in plaintext and pushes them into the memory pool; on line 17 it also deletes every pool entry containing U+FFFD via POST /memory/delete without any confirmation. It is not loaded by the plugin at runtime, so the risk is repository/data hygiene rather than runtime behaviour, but running it destroys data irreversibly.

No critical/high issues; medium risks are a local service token sent to a user-configurable (possibly remote) URL and a silent detached auto-spawn of the local service.

Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.

Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
