Install verification: Ecosystem plugin: installs via dsh plugin add but declares no dsh.bundle and mounts no plugin capability — the L1-L5 install ladder does not rate it; the security scan still runs.Install verification details →
What it doesAI
Package manager that creates, installs, discovers and launches multiple isolated DSH environments for development and debugging.
- Named isolated environments (test/stable/alpha) install separate DSH and packages
- DPX discovery profile lets other package managers find environments without disk scans
- On Windows, first environment gets a double-clickable EXE loading DSH Web UI in WebView
Capability tags are AI-inferred or rule-extracted from the README (see badge) — vocabulary-limited, not install-verified. AI = inferred; README = literal keyword from the readme.

Verification & Compatibility○ Ecosystem plugin
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected
○ The author declares no dsh version requirement — install is not blocked by version.

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic medium — stricter wins → overall medium.

- mediumDesktop auto-updater installs and relaunches an EXE with no code signature; http/file sources accepted
desktop-shell/src-tauri/src/update.rs:103parse_source accepts plain http:// (and file:/local path) update sources, and apply_inner installs whatever asset the manifest points at and then relaunches it (std::fs::write(&staged, &bytes); fs::rename(&staged, &launcher); schedule_relaunch). The only integrity check is a sha256 carried inside that same manifest, so it attests nothing beyond the channel that delivered it; there is no Authenticode/signature check on the downloaded PE. Default is HTTPS GitHub, but a user (or anything able to call the Tauri save_settings/apply_desktop_update commands from the loaded Web UI) can set update_sour
- lowshell.json/env overrides can point the launcher at any node script outside the package, bypassing the bin containment check
desktop-shell/src-tauri/src/dsh.rs:213resolve_package_entry carefully rejects absolute or escaping `bin` paths (candidate.starts_with(package_dir)), but the shell.json `dshEntry` (and DSH_DESKTOP_NODE / DSH_DESKTOP_LAUNCH_ARGS) path skips that check: an absolute or ../-relative entry is accepted as long as the file exists, then executed with the resolved node binary. Anyone who can write <env-root>/desktop-state/shell.json or set those env vars (an agent running inside the environment, since the whole env root is user-writable) can make the shell start an arbitrary script with the user's privileges on the next launch/restart. No p
No critical/high issue found; one medium risk in the unsigned, configurable-source desktop auto-updater (plain http/file sources accepted, digest self-attested).
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
