What it doesAI
Restart plugin for the DeepSeek Harness Electron desktop app, adding restart entry points and cleaning leaked temp snapshots.
- Adds restart entries in sidebar, session title bar, settings, plus /restart desktop command
- Each entry point can be toggled individually from the plugin's settings section
- Cleans DSH temp snapshot folders and can hide the feedback menu item
Capability tags are AI-inferred or rule-extracted from the README (see badge) — vocabulary-limited, not install-verified. AI = inferred; README = literal keyword from the readme.

Verification & Compatibility
Grouped by plugin version: each card lists the dsh versions actually tested against that artifact version and their install verdicts (L5 wins). Untested combinations are omitted — absence means untested, never assumed compatible. L1–L3 are a plugin-level static archive (independent of the dsh version — the same verdict on every dsh row): they sit in each row's level grid next to L4/L5, marked "static", while their evidence is stored once per plugin inside that row's "checks & evidence" instead of being duplicated per version.
External credentials (plugin-level): none detected

Two automated layers, neither a manual review: a static scan (per-plugin rule checks) and a model-driven dynamic security audit that covers only the subset static-flagged at warn or above and never executes plugin code.
Static low, dynamic medium — stricter wins → overall medium.

- mediumRestart endpoint has no shared secret; any local process can force a kill/relaunch of the desktop app
lib/index.js:278Authorization rests entirely on heuristics: loopback peer, a loopback Host header, and either an Origin equal to that Host or, when Origin is absent, the desktopForwarded() branch that accepts the request as long as there is no Sec-Fetch-Site/forwarded header. A browser cross-site POST is blocked, but any local process can simply omit Origin and POST /dsh-desktop-restart/api/restart?force=1, which passes the check, bypasses the 'tasks are running' guard and makes the helper taskkill /F the Electron main process and relaunch it, interrupting in-progress agent work. On Windows, loopback is not i
- lowClient half hides the host app's built-in account-menu item by default via text-matched DOM mutation
lib/client.jsA MutationObserver over the whole document.body subtree removes a built-in navigation entry (feedback) from the host UI by default, outside the plugin's own declared slots; the user only learns this if they open the plugin's settings section. Matching is by button text only, so a host UI that reuses the label would also be hidden until the switch is turned off.
- lowHelper's fallback terminates every process with the app's image name when the path query is unavailable
lib/helper.cjsWhen the encoded-PowerShell query fails or no entry matches the target executable path, the helper degrades to matching by image name alone and runs taskkill /F on every matching pid except helper/main/host. A second installation or portable copy of the same application can therefore be terminated, and the process-identity check that the rest of the file carefully preserves is silently dropped on this last-resort path.
Restart is loopback+Origin gated and helper kills only the app's own image, but there is no shared secret (any local process can force a restart) and the client hides a built-in menu item by default.
Rule: the dynamic audit can only raise risk, never lower it (raise-only, never an exemption); a wrong raise is withdrawn by human review and the tier falls back to the static verdict. Overall verdict = the stricter of the two layers.
Disclaimer: the static scan and the dynamic security audit are both automated analysis, not a security guarantee. Always review what you install.
